Track day tires
Hello everyone! Or atleast all 10 of ya. It’s been a while for me, so I thought a post was in order. I have been successfully tracking my 2015 Abarth for a couple of summers now and it’s still a total blast. I am about to head to Oregon Raceway Park tomorrow morning and realized my very first track ...

Re: Track days - rollover risk
I ran the stock rear anti-roll bar for my first track day. I do have the larger diameter bar that NGEN sells sitting in my garage, and I might install for my PIR track day in may. Turn 10 at PIR is a high speed left hander that really stresses me out, and it would be the reason I wouldnt install the...

Re: Track days - rollover risk
Well, just to wrap this up... I had my first track day with the Abarth last saturday at Oregon Racway Park. First off, that track is nuts. It has tons of elevation changes, and I mean TONS. The videos and pics dont do it justice. I ran it CCW. We walked part of the track before the day began, and it...

Track days - rollover risk
Hello everyone. The interwebs can be amazing but it can also be very misleading. I have read about and watched videos of a few 500s rolling over. I know no car is immune to this, but I am curious what our track day experts think about it... and what they have done (if anything) to address it. 1. Wha...

Re: Directory of forum member racers
[quote=TheAverageEngineer post_id=152 time=1537486547 user_id=64] For the benefit of the membership, I think it would be a good idea to put together a directory of forum members who take their Fiats/Abarths to motorsports events. This is a good opportunity to establish a knowledge base for folks wan...

2015 Abarth exhaust. Love it or hate it?
Hey all. I have a 2015 500 Abarth and I have a love/hate relationship with the stock exhaust. I love the rowdy and raspy attitude, but I hate the 1800rpm and 3000rpm drone. Man alive freeway driving can be intolerable, especially when faced with a strong head wind, which required more throttle and r...

Re: Greetings from Portland
Update on the 15in Enkei RPF1s: they do NOT fit over the front calipers of the abarth. Even with a 15mm spacer, the inside of the rim still hits the front caliper. I am now learning the hassle of returning a wheel… restocking fees, shipping fees, risk of box damage, etc… I ordered a 15in Advanti Sto...

Re: Greetings from Portland
@sportfan tell me about that exhaust manifold! That looks sweet. Good work on the battery relocation. Fitting the pc680 battery under my passenger seat was very easy. There is a ton of room so I think this is a great weight reduction/reallocation mod to do. Thanks. I like those wheels too. It might ...

Re: Greetings from Portland
Thanks for the welcome. I’ve got a 2015 Abarth I am having fun prepping for track time. I do track days at PIR here in Portland and love it. I realize how fortunate I am in having such a great track in my backyard. In doing research, I found this forum and have been loving it. It seems like an authe...
