I have to be super careful on Faceballs. My workplace monitors everyone's posts. I am certain they have contracted some social media company to do it for them - because they are VERY quick to respond if you write something they consider negative, even on your own posts. I complained about work one day last year (a truthful complaint at that). Within 5 minutes I realized I had accidentally not set it to friends only and deleted it. When I showed up at work the next Monday, I got handed a write-up for disparaging my employer on Facebook. They wouldn't listen to the fact that "disparagement" has to be false by definition. There was a screenshot of my post taken literally 1 minute after I made the post. NONE of my co-workers were on my friends list, so that means someone specifically went out to my page looking at the exact moment I posted that. Sounds like a robot to me.

I haven't made a single post to my wall since then. I generally do NOT friend anyone outside of my immediate family and immediate friends (people I spend time with directly IRL). I have offended several in the Fiat community it seems simply for not responding to their facebook friend requests. Oh well. At the end of the day, my workplace takes a hostile view of Facebook, and if I want to keep my job (and career, as most workplaces in my same career do the same), I basically don't post anything on my facebook wall.

As far as the Fiat community, I have chosen to continue to participate there because the odds of something about Fiats being taken by my workplace as saying anything negative about them is pretty slim.
