What CVJ grease to use ?
What brand/grade of grease do I need to repack my CVJs ? Is there a source for replacement rubber boots, lock rings that hold the shaft in the transmission , and boot clamps/bands ? I've got new axle nuts, trans seals, and wheel bearings on the way and need these other parts to get the car back on the road. I'm wanting to get some miles on my new Frankenarms before Twisted in May. What web based parts supplier to most people use ? Thanks.

Buy the clamps from the dealer - they are cheap.

Use a quality CV grease (like Liquid Moly) if servicing the outers joints.
The inner uses a specific tripod grease - It's not a true CV joint so use the correct grease for it.
I always use GKN tripod from Pegasus Racing for the inners.
The dealer has the large cv clamps but not the small ones for the shaft side.
You need a 34.6mm x 7mm Oetiker Ear Clamp for the small sides.
Belmetric.com is who I always buy the clamps from, $1 each for the small clamps and $5 for the large sides (which are 89mm).
The outer cv boots are a thermoform plastic and the inner boots are rubber.
I source these from Italy a case at a time from LoBro. Excellent quality.
There are a few sellers online that have them but its slightly sketchy
(they like to remove all of the identifiable markings, so you aren't really sure what you are getting.... potential factory second grades, for example).
Buy the correct ones from Europe and you'll have the correct parts in a week.

Thanks Mr16 valve. Do you have a source for the locking rings that lock the tripods into the transmission ? If you buy the boots a case at a time , would you set me a set? Thanks again.
