C&B Cam
Glad to see a section for those of us who don't wanna deal with boost headaches. I'll kick it off...
Let's talk cams: as far as I understand it, NA and boosted cams differ on duration and lift. Is this generally on the intake side only? Based on EC's suggestion that their C&B cam suits all MultiAir 1.4s, I guess the exhaust cam's the same for turbo and NA units, and MultiAir tuning takes care of the intake duration and lift?

I guess this is a question I could ask EC directly, but I figured I'd start here since my lumpy bumpstick fund currently shows zero balance. (Thanks, AST Suspensions...)
I remember reading somewhere in the Guy Croft UK forums that C&B cams changed in quality and started actually breaking in motors assembled by Guy Croft himself. I suppose it's the only cam that EC has tunes for, though, so basically the only choice available? Already got an E+C unit so I suppose I'd be going this way myself when the time comes anyhow.

Re: C&B Cam
Good question. Turbo cams tend to be smaller than NA cams, so it wouldn't be over-cammed. And I think the overlap is more a function of the intake cam here?
Basically it would benefit the NA car, but a more aggressive cam would benefit it more... from my understanding. Of course it's limited by what the multiair unit can handle on the intake side - not sure what those limits are. That's strange new territory for most Fiat blokes.

Re: C&B Cam
The manufacturer says it works on both NA and turbo. https://www.cb-cams.com/catalogo_auto.php?lang=eng
I'm loath to open up the engine to do the cam on the Pop, it's $1000 plus a lot of labor and special tools for starters, plus I need one car that I can rely on
It would be interesting to add the cam and the Tork springs to an NA engine and then see what kind of power it would make. The NA internals are not forged like the turbo cars so that would be a concern but mostly I'm just not there yet. Not today anyway.
Love the cam in my Abarth though. Just the raised rev limit is enough to justify it.

Re: C&B Cam
Awesome. Currently distracted by some Honda racing projects but I've had a spare Sport that I've been stripping for dedicated track use and have stockpiled a bunch of chassis and suspension upgrades. An uprated cam would do nicely in that thing. Really, really, really need 1.2 gear ratios, though, but that's another thread...

Re: C&B Cam
I would like to know more about this. If the motor internals would take it, I'd be real interested in one of these cams. I've been thinking of having Toby dyno my car but, a cam install would be better before the tune.

Re: C&B Cam
There is very little detail, this is the link to the manufactures page for the cam that EC offers (I think). You'll note that it is for the 16V T-Jet though
There are more aggressive cams available too, but EC says they offer the medium street cam so I''m correlating that to C&Bs medium road cam.

Re: C&B Cam
Turbo cams have added lift and duration with wider lobe separation.
Example is my Evo of stock to Kelford 272's
Factory cam's
