What you linked are v-band clamps like what we have from our turbo to down pipe... But that brings into question if one of those would work to replace the stock v-band clamp instead of having to buy the oem one?... But they also have t-bolt clamps and appear good ones.
Scroll down and they have the other type of clamps.

Was able to find some time to hook up the boost leak tester. Put pressure in and it won’t even hold 1psi
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
. Look down and I see the hot side pipe about 2” front be turbo has a nice rip in it
![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)
. Contacted Chris @EC and we’ll get this under control lol thanks everyone

Another split EC silicone pipe! At least that's a relatively easy fix and EC is always quick to fix issues.
Glad you found the problem!

Seems they had a bad batch. Anyone have an idea what age the bad ones are?

KevTek strikes again!!!And I disagree this an “easy fix”.
- The boost leak itself puts a lot of stress on the turbo.
- for us non-wrenches it isvery expensive to have someone diagnose and fix. My ruptured hose cost me $1100 to locate and replace.

I agree it a difficult thing to diagnose, but of all the things that could be broken it's pretty easily fixed.
The EC hoses do seem to be prone to rupture though. Outside of stock hosing this is the set I hear about failing most. I was wondering if they all fail in the same spot, or if there is a bad batch of them out there, or if the hoses are just not durable. Did EC upgrade these at some point? Could be just statistical noise I suppose, I.e. I'm around a lot of people running EC gear therefore I hear about EC issues, but it feels more like there is an issue. I'm around a lot of people running ATM Intercoolers and I've never heard of a hose splitting.

I go with bad batch idea, or maybe it's the kevtec. Hadn't heard of any of these ruptures prior to the last few months. Some of the burst hoses aren't even that old, so age doesn't seem to be the issue.
