LOL . . . . sorry . . . I really am. I want to resurrect this dead horse and beat it again.
Just bought a used Red one from one of the old school modders that most of you may know. My question is, Does conventional wisdom as far as installation still hold true?

Fail to see how this is a dead horse; actually looks more like our first technical topic! Hurrah!

There be no dead horses here yet lol
In the near future, we'll have plenty of technical threads and they'll be sorted accordingly.

So here's my Mishimoto catch can. The mounting point is convenient for me as I don't have an intake running through there (ATM Fenderwell). You can see the routing though from the Air/Oil separator and to the intake.

So you I assume you have a Boost Gauge T'd off of your PCV so that is why your using that factory aux?
This is the other routing I keep seeing and this may be the same dude I bought the can from who posted this years ago when MikahB@AAD did the presale or Beta Test. But keep in mind, my engine is completely stock.

I did the ole PCV relocate and I run two cans because I love redundant redundancy. The one with the heart is the one I'd keep if I was running a single.
The idea being that the catch can with pcv relocated helps capture oil before it gunks up my pcv and undermines it's ability to do it's job.
