Broken Boost Gauge (not really)

My boost gauge quit working the other day, and I've been ignoring it. It was coincidentally at the same time that I tried to calibrate it to a different scale, so I naturally assumed that I had messed up and perhaps broken it.
However while looking at my catch can I noticed that the T-piece was missing a connection, the tubing had split and fallen away. Easy fix for a change!

I actually had that problem a lot with my ATM/Depo gauge. I was using silicone hose and it refused to stay in place. It would either slide off or split.
I switched to a tight-fitting RUBBER hose and had no problem since. It's far enough away from major heat that rubber is no problem.

Thanks for the tip. I just chopped the split part of the hose off in the interim.

Here is a pic of my boost gauge as well, just for giggles.

It's kind of nice to just drive and not worry about exactly how much boost I'm making. I think at some point I'll switch to a sweeping style gauge.
