Phase 2

Just went Phase 2/695TF tune on my 500T. What plugs are you guys running on P2? I have a brand new set of Brisks sitting at home, but I heard you have to drive the car pretty hard to keep those working well. While that is no issue for me, my wife primarily drives it. It seems like the NGK IX's are working out fine. Any tips?

Factory plugs are good if you gap them close. The factory plugs are NGK SIKR9A7.

A lot of folks have good luck with NGK DCPR9EIX also. These are cheaper than the factory plugs, but also have a little bit shorter expected lifespan.

Gap either type of NGK as 0.023 to 0.024 using a proper gapping tool (NOT a disc tool). They come 0.026 from the factory.

I honestly switched to the DCPR9EIX and saw no performance difference. The Brisks didn't seem to last very long at all so I stopped using them.

I also switched to the NGK DCPR9EIX from the Brisk - The Brisk may have a a little more performance - but they wear out to quickly and can be very picky from car to car from what others have posted before. Everything is smooth with the new NGK's

Properly gapped NGK seem to be the thing. I used to run Brisk but have had good luck with the NGK lately.

Thanks for the input y'all! I was also considering taking the car back down to Phase 0. I stared at the dyno chart on the EC site about different power curves and saw P-0 has the most instantaneous torque. Albeit, I love how quickly and smoothly 90mph comes in P2, but weirdly I miss the punch of the abrupt spool up. It makes zipping around the city streets feel much more wild.

What you need is a Pop! No turbo to spool up (unless you buy a 2018+). 0-10 is really good.
