Re: 2 DIN fascia

I would, currently its sized specifically for the Alpine ILX units- which I chose because of the 1DIN chassis. So if anyone wants one for an ILX, reach out.

Re: Turbosmart Kompact EM BOV

After opening dialog with TS, I worked with them in terms of fitment and connection type. They have now released the “VR3” version with applications for Alfa/Jeep 2.0L and FCA 1.4 MultiAir engine. I’ve ordered one, but before I install I want to log some before/after results; Im considering throttle...

Re: 2 DIN fascia

Matched the original unit colour best I could do for an OE look, I think it’s a Ford metallic grey paint, space grey if I’m not mistaken

Re: True Ram Air

The ram intake term is heavily abused, I've even seen some of the open filters under the hood called short ram intakes. Anyway, looks like you're on the right path. I did a DRL delete to get the shortest distance to cooler, pressurized air. If I ever upgrade to an FMIC, then that’s the route I’ll l...

True Ram Air

In the process of designing an intake for my car, I've read multiple descriptions of aftermarket intakes as "Ram Air" only because they utilize the factory inlet; the problem with this is that this inlet is drawing air from the bumper cavity, the large opening in the bumper mostly route ai...

Re: What did you do to your Fiat lately ?

Swapped in a UNI foam filter to replace the beat up (whatever EC Uses) filter, the lack of manufacturer markings lead me to believe it’s a cheap Chinese filter. Should be temporary before I have time to build an intake with a BMC airbox soon.

Re: TPMS Delete

I got my adapters on eBay, and the ELM27 (v1.3) cable on amazon, I got lucky and the ELM worked out of the box. Sometimes with the cheaper ELMs you have to remove a resistor for it to work properly; however, if you’re willing to spend a little more, buy one that’s advertised for use with MES.

TPMS Delete

*offroad use This was actually easier than anticipated. You will need software to run a proxi alignment. The hardest part was finding where the module lived. There is an option to set TPMS to "not present" in MES, but it will not remove the dash warning with the module in place. Before you...
