Do the O2 spacers work ?

Post by sportfan » Fri Nov 29, 2019 10:43 pm

I'm running a header and high flow cat and keep getting a light. Has a spacer cured this for anyone?

I’ve not tried with the high flow cat, but couldn’t get it to work on my Abarth when I was cat-less.

I got my car back on the road this week. I got the spacer installed with the middle size orifice of the three. I took it out for a drive and got a P0141 and a P0420 code. The next day I changed the orifice out for the smallest one of the three. I took the car out for about a 20 mile drive and didn't get a cel.

I guess I spoke too soon. Went out this afternoon and make about 5 miles and cel was back on. I didn't read the code yet.

I pulled the spacer out yesterday morning. Later in the day I took the car our for a drive. After about 11 miles the light came back on. Then I noticed it started flashing. I was about 3 miles from a Quicktrip where I had planned to stop and run the code. Before I got there the motor hickuped three times and the light cleared. It was about 12 miles to get back home and the light didn't come back on.
