Dropping Headliner

Post by JustPeachySav » Tue Sep 25, 2018 11:31 am

I didn't know if this was the correct place to post this but, I'm vinyl wrapping my roof and need to remove the antenna base to do it right. I know I need to drop the headliner to unscrew the base but I have no idea where to even start doing that. And do I need to glue the headliner back afterwards? What would I need to do that?

Should be easy, don't have to remove the whole headliner just lower it a bit.

1. Pull weatherstrip back in hatch area.
2. Very gently pry back the plastic panels on each side of the headliner. These have one time use clips so of you aren't gentle they will break. Cheap to replace bit annoying.
3. That will give you enough space to lower the rear of the headliner.
4. 10mm small wrench gets the nuts off, pry loose a clip and unplug the wiring.
Done.

No need to disturb glue.

Good luck.
