How do I get MES to log more often and log all the parameters I request? It’s only logging every 4 or 5seconds (useless) and there seems to be some limit (maybe 20) to the number of parameters it will log.

Help is appreciated!!

Lucas.

I don't have MES, but with others you have to have two things line up. 1 is a quality bluetooth device, the chinese knockoffs have a slower polling speed. Ones like the OBDLink have a bit higher polling speed. You should be able to get more than 1 per second easily. The other is to review the polling options in the MES settings and make sure it's set for the faster polling speed.

You might also try asking on the MES forum: http://forum.multiecuscan.net/

I don't know MES very well, but the best I've been able to get is about 1/2 second updates with any tool (Torque, Dashcommand, AlfaOBD). This seems to be a limitation of the CANBUS. Also the way I understand it is that the more PIDs you add the slower the response from the bus because of the way that the software has to wait on a response from OBD.

I've not read this anywhere, it's just what I've observed and picked up from various logging instructions, i.e. this is not facts but has a 50/50 chance of being right ;)

I was able to get one/sec by upping the baud rate in the port but that’s still probably not enough. I have a very expensive usb based reader. Frustrating.
