Dang it! Guess it’s time to weigh my options

Yep, time to start saving for a new one although this is not nearly the worst that I've seen and I've seen worse that still drive okay.

I would do a boost leak test before you do anything major to make sure that you don't kill your replacement. Also give your intake a really good check as that looks pretty beaten up.

There are lots of bigger turbo options out there now, if you are so inclined. Just sayin'
2013 Abarth 500c (NGen Turbo'd) - Isabella
2012 500 Pop (broken, engine rebuild on hold) - Popabella
2014 500L (Daily workhorse) - The Hulk
2013 Abarth 500 (broken engine, current project) - Abby

She still pulls really well with it like that. But I’m definitely putting $$$ to replace it

Let me know - our turbo is great. We now include more with our turbo with refinements to ensure your car pulls hard and performs great.

That does look a bit nasty, and indeed looks like overspeed damage rather than foreign object damage. A billet wheel upgrade will fix you right up.

As others said double check your diverter valve and any possible boost leaks.

2015 Granito Lucente 500T 6AT - Projecto Estupido
2017 Fiat 124 Spider 6MT - Another one???

Thanks for the info.... I'm still running the stock diverter valve. I have a gfb+ that is still new in the box, just haven't had a chance to install yet.

I haven’t been able to do a boost leak test yet... but here are some observations I’ve made: I have a depo after market gauge, when I’m sitting at idle, I’m usually sitting at -18 to -20 on the gauge. Now when I get on the skinny pedal, I’m getting boost that peeks out at +23 and holds steady. When I let off it promptly drops to -24 and holds till I go back to idle. Without doing a boost leak test does this sound normal?

I guess I should mention I have a chip box with the Lorenzo tune and also a turbosmart.

Car hardly ever give a code, as a mater of fact never had and overboost code. I did throw a underboost on the way to the dragon.

After all these months I find out I'm a fake member. Is it because I don't have a turbo ? I've got about everything else.
