500L buying tips

Post by texanbrit » Thu Jan 23, 2020 10:22 am

I'm going to look at buying a 2014 500L Trekking tomorrow with 66,000 miles on it. It has the DDCT 6 speed auto transmission.

Just wondering if anyone has any specific items that I should look for. Any weird noises that spell impending doom. I know the 1.4L Turbo multi-air pretty well but that's about it.

It didn't unfortunately. Wife was unwell, and I didn't feel good about buying her car without her input

That's fair. She probably doesn't want to be in a Formula 1 car without at least having the seat custom fit to her.

So ended up with the first car I had looked at, the dealer came back with a decent price drop.

Drove home in rush hour traffic for an hour and a half and the car was flawless so pretty happy about that.

Wife is happy with it too. I want to jump on the maintenance tasks this weekend to make sure it has a good basis, but fingers crossed this is going to be perfect.
