Has anyone tried one? How well did it work?

Paul has an LSD in his Abarth. I think he's pretty pleased with it, except for the part where the dealer goofed the install the first time and trashed both the differential and his transmission!

I have a Wavetrac LSD in my 500 Abarth. I think it's the best handling modification I've made to the Abarth.

The Wavetrac seems to be more popular in the US; the Quaife has been around for a long time in Europe. Prometeo also has one now.

I thought all of these were aimed at the Abarth C510 gearbox though, not sure any of them fit in the C514.

From what I've been told by vendors is neither of the two mentioned above make one for the C514 transmission. Quaife does and it may be my only option other than a clutch type LSD which I don't want.

I picked one up for my C514 build but haven't opened the package yet. I think it specifies that it's for C514 variants that have bolt-on crownwheels, while some have crownwheels that affixed by adhesive and an interference fit.

Picked up a UK-market Punto 6-speed so I can poach 3rd/4th/5th and (hopefully but maybe expensive at best) final drive, so here's me hoping that the 6-speed C514's got a bolt-on crownwheel...

I wasn't aware that a 6 speed C514 was a thing, it would seem to require a different name that began with a 6 (like the C635 in the Dodge Dart and 500L). I was thinking the Puntos had a GM M32 in them but perhaps that's just the Grande Punto Abarth (or more likely I'm just wrong)

Yeah, I think the M32 was in the GM-ified ("you can keep your decadent 4x100s, comrade") Grande Punto. Here's some tech info on the C514 family archived from when Huangzhou IVECO was making some. 6-speed weighs 1.8kg more than 5-speed.

Thanks. I'll find one here in the US.
