Welcome

Love the Hood Vents. Hopefully you post some photos of those interior braces. Who is your outfitter or did you DIY?

Car looks sharp! Welcome to the group.

What tray do you run under your vents? If any.

Thanks for the kind words everybody!

The ACS/Cavalino kit comes with a rain tray that drains at the very front edge of the hood past the latch line, so the water actually drains towards the outside of the engine bay. This is my daily driver and it's driven the way it was meant to be driven. This car has experienced -40 Celsius to +35 Celsius weather and my number one priority with the vents was to maintain all weather drivability. The rain tray is attached by the 4 factory plastic clip and can be easily removed in less than a minute.

Surprisingly the vents still make a noticeable difference in heat soaking even with the rain tray. The two large circular cut outs on either side of the vent channels
provide decent amount of airflow. (You can kind of see it on the top right corner of the tray in the pic)

With the tray off you can visibly see the heat waves radiating from the extractor(driver) side. I even did a DIY smoke test with my vape to see if the air really flows into the narca vent and exit from the extractor.

Unfortunately I did not do a before and after comparison test with an actual temp gauge. However I did notice a very interesting side effect: I always felt the AC unit was under powered for hot summer days. After the vents were installed the AC cooled significantly faster.

It just started snowing in the great white north so I'll post some snowy pics and updates once I put my winter set on. Monza 15x6.5 wrapped in Pierelli Ice Zero studded 185-60-15

The Corsa Strada braces are for the sub frame. The install was done by a local shop. Painted and installed for $350 Cad. (Like 2 dollars USD? )
