Oil Catch Can Location

Post by JustPeachySav » Fri Oct 05, 2018 8:36 pm

I'm curious as to where everyone has there oil catch can mounted? Ive notice a lot of other brands have them mounted on the passenger side but my Mishimoto one does not fit in that area at all. I was thinking drivers side maybe squished next to the battery but wanted to see where everyone else has theirs!

In front of the battery hanging from the radiator support, right above the airbag sensor is where most installs have them.

I just installed an AAD about a week back. It was super easy, about 30 Minutes and it looks Gorgeous!

Mine (the early Red one) didn't come with the 4ft hose and when I went to O'Reilly's, then Advanced to get one, they looked at me like I was asking for the most obscure hose on earth. Ended up having to buy a Fuel Line hose at around $5/ft instead of an cheap emissions hose at $1/foot, but it worked out

If anyone is interested, I can make the files available to print or machine. battery mount holder designed for 64mm cans, I may expand to a dual setup, in which case I’ll make a prettier dual mount.

That's pretty nice. I have the Fenderwell intake, so that removes the snorkel and I have my catch can there. Having it up front makes it nice and easy to keep an eye on it.

I've been bad about keeping things up to date with my updates. My engine bay looks a bit functional and not terribly clean. Perhaps I have some shame when I see the guys who clean theirs after every trip.

I don't have any decent photos handy, but I'll upload one later.
