We need to get an open-source tuning solution for our cars so we don't have to live with OTS tunes... if this is that then I am all for it.

That's what it's promoted as, however, some people haven't been happy with it. I want to know why and what the truth is. Is it because of a problem with the product? Or with the service? Or did they not know enough to use it properly?

I drove the crap out of my friend's flashed OFT with Stage1 and Stage2 tunes. I was NEVER able to get the index file so that I could tune their car for them, however. It was a 2 year long attempt and they since have moved on to Euro Drive Phase 2.

I e-mailed them about buying my friend's tuner for my 2015 when the protocol came out for Alientech and I got one response saying that they "beta tested it." ....yeah like so did everyone else that has KESS and an up to date "update key". Shiv is an excellent tuner and his tune was great but it gives up top-end power to EC Phase 1. I'd love to tune these cars with OFT and I was definitely going to red-pill it but it seems Shiv didn't want that to happen.

It seems they have moved away from Plebs with Fiats and are working on Ferraris and BMWs.

Their service sucks. Try getting a reply from them.

Had nothing but great service and never more than 2 days to receive anything or answer questions from open flash performance. Shiv has usually responded next day on questions to get me going. Had no problems using their files with tunerpro. My car is in the air getting clutch right now and then will be fine tuned on gt1752'ish turbo. Openflash is the only company that offers a fully unlocked option, and they are the only tuner I've seen that have posted probably 20 legitimate dyno pulls. Every other claim I've seen from other companies has nothing to support them, and some of them are laughable.
