Valve Cover Mod
Just back from powdercoat. Anything deemed unnecessary was shaved (unused mounting points / casting numbers).
Working on getting the multiair alignment tool from our local dealer. Then MA springs will go in with this goes on.
Call it Dragon Prep.
More pics to follow.

Re: Valve Cover Mod
That looks great.
I admire you making these changes before an event like the Dragon or Sisters. That never seems to work out for me, either the time gets horribly compressed or something breaks (manifold before Sisters and gearbox before the Dragon). My new rule is that I make power-train changes after the event, of course I'm terrible at following my own rules.

Re: Valve Cover Mod
Thanks guys.
I will upload some pics from when I started.
9 bosses were shaved off of it. It should clean up the engine bay nicely.
Less = Moar

Re: Valve Cover Mod
There are also some videos on Facebook that show that it is vitally important to get the MA brick installed straight. Front to back orientation can cause valve issues if not perfect. The proper tool will help, but it is expensive.

Re: Valve Cover Mod
Thanks for that Brit. I am not on FB, so I will go poking around.
The idea is to borrow the tool from our local dealer - the guy that runs it is great (he said his dealership has 2 of them).
You have me thinking though - I might wait until after the Dragon before I install the MA springs.
I ran most of last years Dragon in nonsport mode (695 tune), so power is not an issue there.
My problem was a lack of good traction & sport mode (stage 2 tune) made my traction problem even worse.

Re: Valve Cover Mod
Some of the differences from when I shaved the valve cover.
& now I have some extra parts left over from the install
RIP AOS
