Directory of forum member racers

Post by TheAverageEngineer » Thu Sep 20, 2018 6:35 pm

For the benefit of the membership, I think it would be a good idea to put together a directory of forum members who take their Fiats/Abarths to motorsports events. This is a good opportunity to establish a knowledge base for folks wanting to get involved in racing with their car. If you do any of the following, post below and I will add you to the list:

Autocross
  • TheAverageEngineer
  • Shadowshaggy
  • max
  • TinyGothScorpion (previously in 500 Abarth, currently in a different car)
  • doverosx
  • RDDevito
Time Attack
  • operamatt
Track Days (non-competitive)
  • max
  • Scallootch
  • doverosx
  • operamatt
Track Racing (Wheel-to-Wheel)

Hill Climbs
  • TinyGothScorpion
Rallycross (ex: SCCA)

Stage Rallies

Drag Racing
  • doverosx
  • TinyGothScorpion

I'm a "non-competitive" track day enthusiast so to speak – I ran the Abarth Challenge track day a few months back and have a track day coming up in a few weeks!

I've also autocrossed in the past and will for sure be doing that again, but my favorite autocross closed down so I need to find another one.

I've autocrossed in my Abarth before as well, but that should be taken with a grain of salt, haha. I still do so, just in my MR2. I also do HPDE in my 2 as well. Oh, and I drag race my Abarth as well. Yes, my summer is busy af.

Lol, yes I was wondering about whether to add you under the autocross section with the Abarth. Maybe I'll put it as "former."

I do non-competitive lapping and drag RASSING as well ;-). Consider having the list named "Jolly Club", iirc, jolly club was a group of racers that were not factory supported but got together to share their knowledge and make their fiats faster.

Is Jolly Club a trademark to which EC has rights in the US? I personally have no issue with the name just want to make sure we're not stepping on toes. Most of us have their parts and stickers already.
2015 Rosso Abarth 5MT - MAD FIAT - EC Phase 2 + Supporting Mods
2015 Granito Lucente 500T 6AT - Projecto Estupido
2017 Fiat 124 Spider 6MT - Another one???

They do display a trademark symbol next to Jolly Club on their website, so I think you are correct. It's a fair point, I will change that back.
