I believe that only applies to the early model 2012 fiat 500 non turbos. I do not believe the Abarths apply to that.

Re: tubular control arms or
mine is a 2012. that seems lot more than what i want to do for some control arms. especially if the stock ones are rigid.

Re: tubular control arms or
You don’t have anything to worry about. It doesn’t apply to the Abarth.

Re: tubular control arms or
my tech said the oem control arms are made of iron and do not need to be replaced because they will not flex when pushed at the track. though i have a bad habit of ordering things then telling him after lol. i’m still torn what to do, i have time before i ordered the coilovers and make these decisions.

Re: tubular control arms or
Anyone have a link on how to change your lower control arms ? I've searched the web and can't find a good one. I just don't to remove more than needed to replace them.

Re: tubular control arms or
Remove the front bumper and then the lower bolts on the radiator support (4 total). Remove the chassis braces and lower subframe brace. You will then be able to remove that portion of the frame which will expose the hidden bolt. Pop the ball joint out of the knuckle and remove the other bolt on the bushing . You should be able to snake it out after that.

I 'm there right now but, haven't got the ball joint to drop out yet. I was concerned that I may need to unhook the strut and sway bar. Thanks, Bryan.

Re: tubular control arms or
You're the man Bryan ! I got the ball joint to drop and then the arm came out. Now after laying the new arm over the old one ,I don't think the new one will clear the sway bar. Has any installed a set of DNA on a Sport or Pop ? I hate to skin up these new ones trying to install them and find out they won't work. The area outlined in white on the OEM control arms are where the sway bar rubbed on them at times.
