Fastest Autocross Fiat

Post by doverosx » Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:54 am

Hellooooooooo,

My name is Brodey and I've been drag racing for a decade and autocrossing since 2012. I have a 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth that has a fully customized suspension that I spec'd out myself and had Shaikh from Fat Cat Revalve with his own special sauce. I was a YUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGEEEEE contributor on another forum and wrote many, many technical articles about suspension...and dyno tuning/logging, etc. With my Abarth, I was able to achieve 2nd place at nationals and one day hope to get some SCCA events under my belt once I fix up my back.

I'm going to be working on posting all of that info when I get some free time...having dealt with 2 tornadoes over the weekend.

I'll start up a build thread and get photos going over there.

Glad to see you here sir.

it does feel a bit like a reset for many of us. Hopefully positive things will follow as a result.

Absolutely. At least this time around, it'll look like I know *exactly* what I'm talking about because you won't see my learning process as I slowly started figuring out how things work with these cars ;-). Even with suspension, it was the first setup that I reverse engineered since all other setups were started from scratch.

Welcome to the Dark Forum!

I would love to see your tips on suspension. I wrote a wiki article on lowering springs, but the whole time I knew you could provide much more information than I was. Plus a lot of folks will have questions about coilovers and achieving the best balanced ride, and you've studied all of this.

Welcome! I am glad you joined. I was getting worried that all the technical suspension articles were lost forever.
